My apologies, but at 68 years of age, and in order to maange my semi-retirment, I am only taking new students who fit a very narrow profile.

* New students must have existing guitar sklls. Beginners need more lesson time than I can offer.
* I only teach acoustic guitar skills.
* Lessons are customized and focused on coaching, and not a formal lesson plan.
* Zoom lessons only. Sorry, but parking at my townhouse has become an issue.
* Lesson frequency is monthly at most, or on an as-requested basis
* Lessons must be weekday, Monday through Thursday only. No nights or weekends.

In general, I will coach adult and older teen players who have established skills and a purpose to play, but need some guidance.

I can help, because I've been where you are, just ten years ago. I wanted to play well, but without guidance, it was difficult. I wasted a lot of time. I want to help you "get there" faster.

Private lessons for beginners will save
you years of frustration!

Finally, I took proper lessons. I attended guitar camps, and learned from the best. My teachers made the difference. Then I added to that foundation with proper self-education.

I've learned to play around the campfire, in living rooms for friends, at jams and open mics, and in other public venues.

I have fun playing the guitar, and
I can teach you to do the same!

I focus on teaching ADULT and YOUTH BEGINNERS (age 12 and up) how to play ACOUSTIC GUITAR in many of the popular "roots" styles, such as fiddle tunes, fingerstyle blues, and chord melody, flatpick, fingerpick and folk. I also teach how to play at jams and how to play vocal accompaniment on guitar.
